Shell Key Preserve

Shell Key Preserve is an 1,800-acre wildlife preserve located just south of Pass-a-Grille Beach. Shell Key (also known as Shell Island) is an uninhabited barrier island and one of the most important areas for shorebird nesting in Florida. It is also home to dolphins, manatees and nesting sea turtles.

Shell Key

As the name suggests, Shell Island is one of the best shelling locations in the area. Numerous types of seashells can be found.
